Hamish's Story
Hamish: More Than a Diagnosis
Before cancer ever entered the picture, Hamish was joyful, passionate, and full of life. He loved sports, both playing and watching them. He loved animals, and most of all, he loved the people around him. He was an incredible son and brother, and the kind of friend who showed up every time. He was goofy, quick with a laugh, and never did anything by halves. He chose to live each day to the fullest.
Those who knew him remember not only what he loved, but how he made others feel, and how, no matter the situation, he wanted to put others first. That same spirit continues through Hamish's Difference today.

The Journey
Why Hamish's Difference Exists
Hamish approached every challenge with the same courage, humor, kindness, and determination that defined the rest of his life.
In September 2023, he was diagnosed with NUT Carcinoma, an extraordinarily rare cancer. What followed was a journey through surgeries, treatments, clinical trials, setbacks, and moments of hope. Along the way, his family experienced firsthand how difficult it can be to navigate a rare diagnosis, and how much support families need.
Hamish's life was never defined by cancer. But his journey inspired a mission.
Today, Hamish's Difference carries that legacy forward by advancing Cure, strengthening Community, and championing Advocacy so more families have hope, support, meaningful connections, and a path forward.
